Hi Everyone,
It's been a long time since I have been on my blog. OOPS! I have made some neat changes in my life and my business. I'm thankful for those of you whom bought my doll beds and skirts and other handmade items. I will continue to do my best in supplying other items. In the last year, I've designed a retractable design wall for quilters. I even got really good at quilting. So good, that each of my children and grandchildren wanted one. That took time, but was so worth it!

Now, I'm slowing down. It must be my age. I have been praying for something to keep me intrested. Something I can do for the children in my community. Well, I found it!!! The company is called: "It's my very own." This organization is giving under prividledged children 'BAGS OF LOVE'. These kids have been taken out of their homes due to parents on drugs or being abused. It is a growing situation in this country. (Very sad.) I love children, they are God's little ones. I asked to be part of this worthy cause. I ask for donations from companies who can help with fabric, personal items, such as: tooth brushes and tooth paste, combs and hair brushes. The kids are ages newborn to 17 years old and they are taken quickly, by CPS, with no time to grab their things. They usually have nothing of their own. How sad is that?
These 'Bags Of Love' are full of items such as: a Quilt, hand made with love, a new, stuffed animal and some toys. Included also are some personal items. I also put in a pillow case if needed.

A fantastic recipe

Well, Ali,(my daughter-in-law)and my daughter made this fab recipe. Since I'm a vegan I looked at it and thought that I could do this my way too. So, all you pasta lovers out there, here it is........Enjoy! We doubled it.

1 1/2 cups of Baby carrots
1 1/2 c. sugar snap peas about 12 oz.
8oz. of Penni Rigate Pasta (3c. uncooked)
1 TB spoon olive oil
2 cloves garlic,minced
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
12 oz. fresh shrimp (this is wear I draw the line, I used tufu) peeled and devained.
1/4 cooking wine (again I draw the line...a no for me)
1/2 c. whipped cream
1 tablespoon Lemon juice
3 c.baby arugula or baby spinach

Bring 2 quarts of water to boil in large pot. Add baby carrots ,snap peas and cook for three minutes. Remove with slotted spoon. Add pasta to the boiling water and cook till adanta.
Over medium-high heat in a large skillet, heat oil. Add garlic and saute for 1 min. Add carrots,snap peas, salt and pepper and cook for 2 min. Add shrimp and wine and cook until wine has evaporated. Add cream and lemon juice,reduce heat and simmer for 3 min.
In large bowl,toss together hot pasta with shrimp and vegetable mixture, steamed spinach and fresh Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.

This is a good Italian family recipe.
